Dr. Alok Sharma, a Chemical Engineering graduate from IIT-Delhi, brings decades of continuous experience in the downstream energy sector. As Director (R&D) and Board Member at Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Dr. Sharma currently spearheads initiatives in refining, catalyst development, and research and development across cutting-edge domains such as hydrogen, gasification, solar, biofuels, CO2 capture, and energy storage. His innovative contributions are highlighted by more than 60 granted patents spanning India and international territories. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Sharma has received numerous honors, including the 2025 IIT Delhi Alumni Association's Outstanding Contribution to National Development Award, the India Climate Champion in Innovation and Technology Samman 2025 from CMAI, and the Leadership Excellence in Technology Award 2024 from GRPC. An Endeavour’s Fellowship Award recipient from the Government of Australia, Dr. Sharma is also a renowned expert and active participant in multiple national and international committees.
