Client-Facing Trainer – Performance Management – Shanghai

We are interested in hearing from experienced Client-Facing Trainer professionals who can deliver Performance Management training for organisations operating in and around Shanghai.

Position Summary

We are building our pool of trusted trainers for Performance Management assignments across Asia. The role would suit a practitioner who can tailor content to client context, learner level, and business objectives while helping clients develop people capability, talent practices, and manager effectiveness.

Assignments may range from focused workshops to short capability programmes, depending on the client scope, learner profile, and delivery context. The strongest candidates will be able to adapt content without losing clarity or commercial relevance.

The expected delivery mode for this brief is In-Person, and the role should be approached as a One-Off Assignment requirement.

What Success Looks Like

  • Deliver structured Performance Management training sessions for client teams linked to Shanghai and wider Asia.
  • Maintain strong session control, learner engagement, and professional delivery standards across preparation and live facilitation.
  • Coordinate effectively with client stakeholders and internal contacts on objectives, timelines, and expected learner outcomes.
  • Translate complex ideas into practical guidance, examples, and decision-making frameworks that participants can use in the workplace.
  • Support participants with examples, clarifications, and implementation guidance that reduce the gap between theory and day-to-day application.
  • Refine materials where needed so the programme remains current, usable, and appropriate for the target audience.

Who This Would Suit

Hands-on credibility in Performance Management; experience facilitating learning for business teams; strong consulting judgment, facilitation skill, and the ability to connect people topics to business outcomes; able to adapt delivery style, examples, and exercises to different participant groups.

A good fit for independent trainers, consultants, or internal capability specialists whose background includes HR, talent management, leadership development, learning and development, or organisation development in corporate or enterprise environments.

  • A professional background that supports credibility with enterprise, multinational, or client-facing training audiences.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain complex material in a clear and applied way.
  • Confidence working with client stakeholders and adjusting delivery to different business contexts, sectors, and learner groups.
