In-House Trainer (Hangzhou) – Succession Planning & Talent Strategy

We are seeking a delivery-ready In-House Trainer with proven Succession Planning & Talent Strategy capability for assignments connected to Hangzhou, China, and broader Asia.

Position Summary

Client is seeking an experienced trainer to deliver Succession Planning & Talent Strategy training for HR teams, managers, and leadership populations across Asia. The assignment suits a commercially credible facilitator who can help clients develop people capability, talent practices, and manager effectiveness.

We expect this work to suit trainers who are organised, responsive, and comfortable shaping delivery around business context, participant maturity, and operational realities.

From an operational perspective, the assignment is best viewed as Multi-Session Programme work delivered primarily in a In-Person environment.

What Success Looks Like

  • Coordinate effectively with client stakeholders and internal contacts on objectives, timelines, and expected learner outcomes.
  • Translate complex ideas into practical guidance, examples, and decision-making frameworks that participants can use in the workplace.
  • Support participants with examples, clarifications, and implementation guidance that reduce the gap between theory and day-to-day application.
  • Refine materials where needed so the programme remains current, usable, and appropriate for the target audience.
  • Adapt delivery to the client brief, participant seniority, and the sector context without losing clarity or pace.
  • Keep the learning intervention aligned with business priorities, not just topic coverage, so the work delivers visible value to the client.

Who This Would Suit

Strong practical expertise in Succession Planning & Talent Strategy; prior experience delivering corporate learning or facilitation engagements; strong consulting judgment, facilitation skill, and the ability to connect people topics to business outcomes; able to tailor delivery for adult learners and client stakeholders.

Strong fit for consultants, trainers, or practitioners with experience in HR, talent management, leadership development, learning and development, or organisation development and a track record of supporting professional capability-building initiatives.

  • Availability for project-based work linked to Hangzhou, China, and wider Asia where relevant.
  • Good judgement around pacing, audience engagement, and the balance between technical depth and usability.
  • Comfort operating in In-Person settings and handling the logistical realities of live corporate delivery.
