First-Time Manager Capability Building Specialist – Jakarta

For upcoming First-Time Manager briefs, we are looking for a strong Capability Building Specialist who can engage professional audiences linked to Jakarta and surrounding markets.

Role Overview

We are building our pool of trusted specialist trainers for First-Time Manager assignments across Asia. The role would suit a practitioner who can tailor content to client context, learner level, and business objectives while helping clients build stronger people managers and more effective team leadership.

The role is intended for trainers who can move comfortably between subject expertise, stakeholder discussion, and practical learner application. Sessions should remain relevant to real workplace use rather than abstract theory.

The current requirement points to Hybrid delivery and should suit someone comfortable supporting Short Series projects.

What You Will Support

  • Refine materials where needed so the programme remains current, usable, and appropriate for the target audience.
  • Adapt delivery to the client brief, participant seniority, and the sector context without losing clarity or pace.
  • Keep the learning intervention aligned with business priorities, not just topic coverage, so the work delivers visible value to the client.
  • Use practical case studies, scenarios, tools, or workflows to make First-Time Manager content easier to apply after the session.
  • Facilitate discussion, questions, and applied exercises in a way that keeps learning commercially relevant and outcome-focused.
  • Deliver structured First-Time Manager training sessions for client teams linked to Jakarta and wider Asia.

What We Are Looking For

Hands-on credibility in First-Time Manager; experience facilitating learning for business teams; credible management experience, facilitation maturity, and strong behavioural coaching capability; able to adapt delivery style, examples, and exercises to different participant groups.

A good fit for independent trainers, consultants, or internal capability specialists whose background includes people management, manager capability, team leadership, or change leadership in corporate or enterprise environments.

  • Previous experience delivering training, workshops, facilitation, coaching, or advisory work for professional audiences.
  • Proven subject-matter credibility in First-Time Manager with evidence of practical business or corporate application.
  • Availability for project-based work linked to Jakarta, Indonesia, and wider Asia where relevant.
