Kunming-Based Regional Training Consultant – Onboarding & Retention

We are seeking a delivery-ready Regional Training Consultant with proven Onboarding & Retention capability for assignments connected to Kunming, China, and broader Asia.

Assignment Overview

This scheduled role is suited to a delivery-focused consultant with hands-on Onboarding & Retention credibility and experience working with HR teams, managers, and leadership populations in Kunming, China, and across Asia. The work centres on practical application, learner confidence, and helping clients develop people capability, talent practices, and manager effectiveness.

The assignment requires a trainer who can structure material clearly, manage professional audiences confidently, and adapt delivery to different sectors, teams, and levels of experience.

The current requirement points to Hybrid delivery and should suit someone comfortable supporting Multi-Session Programme projects.

Delivery Scope

  • Adapt delivery to the client brief, participant seniority, and the sector context without losing clarity or pace.
  • Keep the learning intervention aligned with business priorities, not just topic coverage, so the work delivers visible value to the client.
  • Use practical case studies, scenarios, tools, or workflows to make Onboarding & Retention content easier to apply after the session.
  • Facilitate discussion, questions, and applied exercises in a way that keeps learning commercially relevant and outcome-focused.
  • Deliver structured Onboarding & Retention training sessions for client teams linked to Kunming and wider Asia.
  • Maintain strong session control, learner engagement, and professional delivery standards across preparation and live facilitation.

Candidate Profile

Clear subject-matter credibility in Onboarding & Retention; prior exposure to multinational or enterprise audiences; strong consulting judgment, facilitation skill, and the ability to connect people topics to business outcomes; confident supporting learners with practical examples, tools, and Q&A.

Best suited to professionals with backgrounds in HR, talent management, leadership development, learning and development, or organisation development, ideally with experience working with multinational clients or enterprise teams in Asia.

  • Confidence working with client stakeholders and adjusting delivery to different business contexts, sectors, and learner groups.
  • Previous experience delivering training, workshops, facilitation, coaching, or advisory work for professional audiences.
  • Proven subject-matter credibility in Onboarding & Retention with evidence of practical business or corporate application.
